Meet our Executive Director
Joanna Nunnenkamp
Executive Director
Joanna Nunnenkamp has served as Executive Director at The Harbor of Douglasville since December 2025, bringing with her nearly 15 years of additional experience in the senior living industry. Joanna was born in Poland, but she calls Chicago her hometown. She began her working life in the fast-food industry, which not only diversified her customer service experience but also sharpened her skills in team collaboration and communication.
After 19 years in the food industry, worked as a legal assistant in an attorney’s office where she prepared legal documents. Although well-established as a legal assistant, Joanna realized her calling and desire to serve the elderly after caring for her elderly aunt. Determined, she switched career paths, received her CNA certification through Joliet Jr.
College and worked her way into administration positions in the senior living industry. She hasn’t looked back since.
Joanna now lives with her two dogs and cat in Douglasville. She takes every opportunity to travel and loves spending time with her grandchildren most of all.
