Douglasville, Ga. (Jan. 2026) — The Harbor at Douglasville, a premier memory care community, is pleased to announce that Joanna Nunnenkamp has joined the team as Executive Director. Nunnenkamp has nearly 15 years of experience in the senior living industry, a passion for which she discovered after caring for her elderly aunt. She is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care with the commitment to preserving an active, safe and thriving community.
Nunnenkamp was born in Poland, but grew up in Chicago, IL. She began her working life in the fast-food industry, which not only diversified her customer service experience but also sharpened her skills in team collaboration and communication. After 19 years in the food industry, Nunnenkamp worked as a legal assistant before realizing her calling and desire to serve seniors. Determined, she switched career paths, received her CNA certification through Joliet Jr. College and worked her way into administration positions in the senior living industry.
