(DOUGLASVILLE, Ga.) - Grace Senior Living in Douglasville has recently upgraded licensure and services to become The Harbor at Douglasville, a premier memory care community for seniors.

The Harbor at Douglasville is now an innovative specialized memory care community designed to serve residents and families affected by Alzheimer’s and related memory disorders. The operator, Legacy Senior Living, has owned and operated the facility since 2007. Recently, ownership recognized the need for memory care services in the greater Douglasville area.

“Our mission is to create new opportunities for our residents to experience fresh beginnings every day,” said Felicia Latham-Yeboah, LPN, Clinical Executive Director. “The Harbor is a refuge for residents and their families from the storms that frequently accompany Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related disorders.”

The transition to a memory care facility and upgraded licensure will allow The Harbor at Douglasville, a Legacy Senior Living facility, to tailor all services and amenities of assisted living to the ever-changing needs of Alzheimer’s residents including a loving and dignified atmosphere, specially trained caregivers who are dedicated to each resident’s individuality and dignity, Purposeful Day℠ activity program designed to keep memories alive as long as possible, and innovative technology including SimpleC™, a personalized, electronic storyboard to assist with memory recall and therapy.

“We know that memory care services at The Harbor means peace of mind and freedom from the worries associated with being a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia,” said Bryan Cook, Co-founder and President at Legacy Senior Living. “We are dedicated to serving our residents and their families by providing expert care in a safe environment. We take pride in this, and take our role very seriously in caring for the Greatest Generation.”
